Years cannot erase the harshest of memories, not with a museum of wreckage so close at hand. Such is the stuff of trauma and loss. No recovery is full. At some point though, a wound will become a scar and then mysteriously that scar will become another tack on a map reminding you of where you’ve been. I think I’ve said that before. I guess some things are worth saying again. And some places no matter how far away, no matter how unlikely or broken, will always feel like home to me.

We’re more alike than different. We like to play Candy Land (even though he usually beats me), we like to dance, we like to do arts and crafts, and we like to play basketball. We both hate mornings, and take forever to get ready for the day. We both love our families, and miss our brothers when they are gone. We love to make people laugh, and we love to make silly faces.
